Professional Practices-How We Work Together

As I believe everyone benefits from and makes good decisions based on education, I try to give lots of written information to help you. In addition, I like to meet with my clients in person to show them samples of my work and understand what my albums and photos look like. Questions?? Feel free to ask me! I will do my best to address your concerns.

Here’s a few basics:
First, I am using a film based medium format camera. I love film and my photo lab does a great job printing my negatives so your wedding photos are beautiful and long lasting.  I also find digital imagery very exciting, but everyone I have talked to is still uncertain how archival  CDs are or if the computer technology that reads your CD now will be available in 10 years.

Hence, if you need scanned images on CD for e mail purposes, I am happy to provide you with a CD with all your photos. This way, you get the best of both worlds—long lasting film based prints in lovely albums as well as contemporary digital imagery.

The first product I provide my clients with is a preview album with 5 by 5 inch photos. This is like a workbook and is yours to keep It  is ready about 2 weeks after your wedding. In addition, you get a page planner to indicate which reprints you want in your full sized (12 inch by 14 inch) Flora couples album. You may also order parent albums and reprints for family and friends.

Second, you may contact me anytime you wish if you have any questions. If you are having a wedding or reception in a place that I have not worked before, I generally preview those sites about a month before your event. I like to review your copy of the wedding photo list about two weeks before your wedding. You get a copy that reflects everything you want for your photos. I will also give you a check in phone call about two days before your wedding.

Third, when you order your album I review everything with you to ensure that your design is good. I borrow your previews for the duration of the order --about 4 weeks from January through mid-September, then a bit longer during the “holiday season.” When everything is done, you have 2 albums (+ your wall print)  and your package is complete.
